Obama launches Tet offensive

For those too old to remember it or too young to have lived it the Tet offensive was North Vietnam’s launched on a lie, coordinated guerrilla attack on forces defending South Vietnam’s right to freedom. When Viet Cong realized it could not win a conventional war they agreed to a Tet (New Years) cease fire only to launch a major guerrilla attack on more than 100 town and cities. The objective wasn’t to win on the ground but in the minds of the American public that this war couldn’t be won. The loss of 45,000 supporters was deemed worthwhile for a public relations victory.

With the full knowledge that Americans would fight for the freedom to choose their own health plan Obama launched his offensive with his own lie “You can keep your Health plan”. When the reality of Obamacare hit home even his supporters were stunned. The conventional assurances from the White House could not quell the growing dissent. The White House was not concerned about the millions losing access to health care but about the optics of the only administration accomplishment coming apart at the seams. It was time to go on the offensive. With strategy meetings held in Washington instead of Hanoi the three week Tet offensive was planned.

Using administration spokespeople disguised as journalists, sports figures, Hollywood celebrities and even relatives the guerrilla offensive kicked off with “Healthcare for the Holidays”. The assault continues as the press is instructed to make lemonade out of the Obamacare lemon. Praise is gushed upon the response to Obamacare in New York, California and Washington State. Glossed over is the fact that each of these is not part of the Obamacare exchange but state run programs. Buried deep in these press releases is the one billion in federal funds to promote them, the fact that more people lost insurance than signed up and 50% will be dumped into Medicaid. The numbers are so lopsided it might as well be referred to as Obamacaid.

Even with the terrible economy selling out your integrity does not come cheap. Whereas the Obama girl of the 2008 election gave willingly the Obamacare girl of 2013 needed a two thousand dollar incentive for her innocence.( ) Both the NFL and the NBA have declined to be used to promote Obamacare despite veiled threats.

So what’s a revolutionary to do? Just call up the old standbys that have already lost all credibility like Chris Matthews, ( Barber Walters, Oprah Winfrey, and get writers like Paul Krugman, or your old Chief of staff Rahm’s brother Ezekiel Emanuel to write glowing articles.(

Will Obama’s Tet offensive be as successful as the Viet Cong’s in convincing the American people to give up and accept the inevitable loss of freedoms associated with their plans for takeover? What will the death toll be from collateral damage Obamacare has wrought? We do know that Obama can’t fix the economy, reduce spending or bring peace to the Middle East but he sure knows how to campaign.

So remember comrades do your part to help Obama reduce the deficit and just accept Obamacare as the law of the land. The longer you resist to more of your money he must spend to convince you. Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated.
