Saturday, the White House released a photo of Obama firing a gun. Since the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in December, President Obama has been pushing for gun-control measures. The Obama gun photo has created a buzz Saturday morning.
Obama spoke to the New Republic magazine recently and he answered ‘‘yes’’ when he was asked if he had ever fired a gun; he went on to say that ‘‘we do skeet shooting all the time" at Camp David.
The Obama gun photo is dated Aug. 4, 2012 and he is shooting clay targets at Camp David. The photo shows that Obama is holding the gun up to his left shoulder, and as he shoots smoke begins to come out from the top of the gun.
It is unclear why the White House decided to release this photo now. Monday, President will head to Minnesota to discuss gun control. The gun controversy in the United States has intensified over the last few months.
