An Obama gun photo has been published by the White House. The President is scheduled to talk about gun control in Minnesota -- but that may have nothing to do with why the photo was released. On Feb. 2, ABC News posted the photo and reported that when Barack was asked if he'd ever held a gun, he responded yes and explained that he's a fan of skeet shooting and participates in the sport when he visits Camp David. Many never believed him... so now there's proof.
"Not the girls, but oftentimes guests of mine go up there. And I have a profound respect for the traditions of hunting that trace back in this country for generations. And I think those who dismiss that out of hand make a big mistake," Obama said.
The Obama gun photo is stirring controversy mainly because of the issues surrounding gun control. For many, skeet shooting or using a rifle to hunt game is different than owning a hand gun. Others find it ironic that Obama enjoys shooting a gun (or at least he seems to enjoy it) while the White House is trying to come up with a plan to make gun laws more strict.
The reason that the White House produced the photo of Obama shooting is because the comments he made were widely speculated. Many thought that if he had participated in skeet shooting there would be evidence -- and there is. The White House came up with this picture easily -- unlike the requests to see Obama's birth certificate (and whatever else Donald Trump wanted).
