The press was alive this morning with the fascinating news that President Obama took his family with him to church today; for the first time since last Easter. The Obamas attended Holy Eucharist service at St. John's Episcopal Church, on Lafayette Square, across Pennsylvania Avenue from the White House. Ironically, the Gospel reading for today was from Luke, Chapter 16, about the inability to serve two masters. Said Luke: “…whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.”
Obama, like many of his presidential predecessors, is not a regular church-goer. Some, like Bill Clinton, used his sporadic church attendance as a political prop: Who can forget his great photo-op, when at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal, he got himself photographed coming out of church carrying a bible—a book he was never seen with before or after that occasion. Others, like the two Presidents Bush, made it a point to request that the press refrain from reporting or photographing their church attendance.
Barry’s trip to St. John's Church Episcopal (where “G*d d*mn America!” is never heard from the pulpit) was perhaps merely coincidental to his gaff last Wednesday, when he quickly skipped over God in his speech to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. In the closing remarks of his speech, Obama recited part of the Declaration of Independence, and left out "by their Creator." He recited "endowed with certain inalienable rights...." The Declaration of Independence gives credit to God as the Creator who has "endowed" all men with "certain inalienable rights....."
Well, let’s give our benighted president the benefit of the doubt on this one. He undoubtedly knows that the Preamble of our Declaration of Independence credits our Creator for endowing us with our inalienable rights; him being a former constitutional law professor and all. Probably just a slip of the tongue. Like the time he accidently made reference to “my Moslem faith.”
One doesn’t want to nit-pick. But nits, if left unattended, mature into lice. And this nation doesn’t need a lousy president.

Was the President speaking extemporaneously or reading his speech from a teleprompter?
Couldn't put that many sentences together without a teleprompter, so clearly his neglecting to credit God with endowing us with those inalienable rights was not a mistake.
Next we will be a People of the Government, By the Government, and for the Government.
... so help the government.
Conservatives believe that our rights come from God. Liberals believe that our rights come from government.
You can 'believe' whatever you want but if you are going to quote a historic document then you can't leave out whatever words don't suit you.
He spreads more time in bowing to and promoting Islamic Leaders and Clerics, than worshiping the Christian God. A person spends more time following what believes in than what he does not believe in. The answer is obvious.
This man is a FAKE !!! We all know it, he knows we know it, but he lies and tries to convince us
otherwise, but he is a true Muslim ! God will Judge one and all !
I only hope and pray that the well-intentioned Americans who believed him and voted him into office realize their mistake and vote for an American in the next election.
C'mon Glenn, Presidential Puppet Soetoro did NOT 'dis' Allah.
We all know he loves Allah.
There must be something wrong when a person ( or persons ) can stay at a " Church " 20 yrs
or so when the pastor of that church uses the Lord's name in " VAIN " and not say anything
about it
Does Obama carry a Bible? Does he own one? Is he afraid that if he touches it he will melt like the wicked witch of the west? :)
"Public Policy Examiner"? Don't you mean "Right Wing Propagandist"?
("Public Policy Examiner"? Don't you mean "Right Wing Propagandist"?) What a clever retort! You lefties are just too smart for me. --Louisville Public Policy Examiner
All of us forget to credit our Creator all the time. Don't use our Creator name in your political end-game.
Who cares what religion he is or isn't. Moral code is not determined by religious affiliation, or lack thereof. Some people just want you to think it is to serve their own purposes.
Who Cares? You better care. If Government givith your rights, then Government can taketh away. Obama, much to his dismay, is no Creator, he is not God, he is no better then you or I ***sound of libs crying blasphemy***. Take God out of the equation and there is nothing holding up the individual anymore. You wolfs will 'vote' all the sheep into extinction until the lions turn on you. pull your head out of your --- and realize that the oligarchical elite have nothing but contempt for you.
I care. I pray to God the Father, God the Son--Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit and ask Him to please take this country back to be the Christian nation upon which it were founded and BLESSED BY HIS GRACE.
"THE LORD GIVES TO THOSE WHO ASK OF HIM. HE COMFORTS THOSE WHO CALL ON HIM."
What a lot of ignorance, what a surprise it's coming from Kentucky---NOT!
All real Christians who "keep watch" like the Lord told us to know who Obama is. Whether the secular world wants to believe it or not, all of the world's problems are rooted in religion. It started at the beginning of time with the offspring of Adam. Do your research, read your Bible, trust only the creator and HIS messengers. Those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.... The worst is yet to come.
Excuse the grammar error is using "were" instead of "was". The statement made was based upon belief and THE TRUTH.
