Obama fires at the Constitution

The Obama Administration is famous for its practice of “never let a good crisis go to waste”. This doctrine was revealed at the rare slip of then Administrative Operative Rham Emanuel at the beginning of the Obama presidency. It’s Obama’s’ confirmed Marxist roots that cause him to hate the idea of citizens owning guns. Not that he’s against guns entirely- there are assault weapons protecting him and his family perpetually: he’s in favor of those, or course.

Indeed, the Administration has declared war on the Second Amendment- and the foundational rights of freedom. However, this is not to say that Obama, et. al have been “waiting for a good killing”. That would be an assertion over the top- even for this Administration. However, the Administration has been proactive in their quest to disarm law abiding Americans. Still being stone-walled is the investigation into the Fast and Furious scandal. In this created-crisis, even administration-friendly media have been forced to report the intention of the goal to manipulate public opinion about gun control. Apparently, Mexican dead people aren’t as offensive to President Obama, much less Border Security Agents. These are acceptable sacrifices in the war on the Constitution. CBS News reports:

“Documents obtained by CBS News show that the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) discussed using their covert operation "Fast and Furious" to argue for controversial new rules about gun sales.

On July 14, 2010 after ATF headquarters in Washington D.C. received an update on Fast and Furious, ATF Field Ops Assistant Director Mark Chait emailed Bill Newell, ATF's Phoenix Special Agent in Charge of Fast and Furious:

"Bill - can you see if these guns were all purchased from the same (licensed gun dealer) and at one time. We are looking at anecdotal cases to support a demand letter on long gun multiple sales. Thanks."

CBS also reported:

“CBS News has been told at least 11 ATF agents and senior managers voiced fierce opposition to the strategy. "It got ugly..." said one. There was "screaming and yelling" says another. A third warned: "this is crazy, somebody is gonna to get killed."

Sure enough, the weapons soon began surfacing at crime scenes in Mexico - dozens of them sources say - including shootouts with government officials.

One agent argued with a superior asking, "are you prepared to go to the funeral of a federal officer killed with one of these guns?"

The fact that the Administration refuses to come clean about the intentionally-created crisis indicates that this is was more than a bad policy gone bad, but rather an intentional shot at the America's Constitution. Obama, like many elitist opine that their position affords them the right to be protected from the citizenry, but the citizenry has no right to be protected from the elitist.
Furthermore, “the sooner we disarm the citizens the better off we are in our positions.”

This very mentality is reminiscent of Adolf Hitler’s rise to power in post WWI Germany. It was his 1938 law restricting gun ownership that gave him the ability to intimidate those who were against the National Socialist Party. Indeed, Hitler didn’t ban guns altogether, he just made sure the Jews didn’t own any of significant calibers. The mantra of the day was “gun control” not “gun elimination”. This, in itself mirrors the Administrations verbiage- and is confirmed by independent investigations into the Fast and Furious scandal. In May of 2011, the President was quoted as saying “We are working on gun control under the radar”. Some have attempted to refute this by saying it was actually Mrs. Brady’s recall of the conversation, but have yet to deny that the Administration isn’t storing background checks that are supposed to be destroyed after a person meets the criteria for the background checks: which meets the criteria for “under the radar” as well as “anti-Constitutional”. Even in the denial, the point is obviously made true.

The fact is gun ownership (including the ammunition) is a constitutional right. This is evident in the verbiage “to keep and to bare arms”. Thus signifying to right to own them and the right to own them in a manner to bare them, or use them if necessary. This is an important point given the news that the Administration has attempted to circumvent the right by restricting ammunition circulation to the buying public.

While zero percent of legal gun owners opine that gun ownership doesn’t come with a sense of responsibility, most will agree that enforcing laws against illegal use of firearms is the most effective way to minimize illegal gun violence. As for the Second Amendment, Thomas Jefferson explained:

"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"

-Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)
