Obama caught a fainting woman during his speech at the White House Rose Garden on Oct. 21. According to the New York Post, Barack Obama's "ObamaCare" speech was interrupted by the woman who was standing behind the POTUS' podium. Pregnant Karmel Allison, a diabetic, started getting shaky and those nearby grabbed her so that she wouldn't fall on the president. He turned around after hearing the commotion.
"I got you, you’re OK. This happens when I talk too long," Obama joked. Allison was escorted out of the public's eye after nearly passing out on national television. She later tweeted to the prez to thank him for helping her.
Obama and the fainting woman had a greater connection than just the woozy episode. You see, Allison was in attendance during yesterday's speech because she was supporting ObamaCare -- she was an example of the type of person that would benefit from the new health care act. "According to the White House, Allison was there as an example of someone who was an ideal candidate for the program, having kept her insurance with the same company since being diagnosed with diabetes at age 9," the New York Post reports.
Naturally Allison's fainting episode has caused tons of jokes (mainly from those who oppose ObamaCare)... and the video replay is still circulating online.
