President Obama and the Democrats in Congress won another great victory over Republicans last night. Taxes will increase on every working American, just not as much as they could have on the middle class. The bill passed by the Senate plus the Democrats of the House with a few Republicans keeps middle class taxes from going up, raises taxes on everyone making $250k+, and drastically cuts the military while increasing spending on more “stimulus.”
Last week, Obama and Reid refused a bill put forth by House Republicans to keep middle class taxes at the Bush rates, allow rates on millionaires to go up, keep military funding, and lower spending. The Democrat Senate has already funded fiscal year 2013 adding another trillion dollars to the National Debt, bypassing the House budgeting committee for the fourth year by not posting a budget. Obama’s bill will increase spending, further adding to the deficit.
Entitlements such as welfare, unemployment benefits, and food stamps will be extended and expanded while the military will be cut to what defense experts say will be the dangerously low levels of the Carter era. ObamaCare taxes will come into full effect for everyone who works to pay for more medical care for those who don’t. Social Security and Medicare will continue to be defunded by transfers to ObamaCare from fraudulent accounts, but the “payroll tax holiday” which has defunded them the past two years will end, also increasing taxes on the middle class.
Conservatives are hoping that Republican Speaker of the House will be replaced, having failed to lead Republicans to any victory against Obama and the Democrats in conserving American’s liberty. Speaker Boehner came to his position riding on the backs of the Tea Party revolution in 2010 to stop the Obama agenda. Since then he has accomplished nothing to promote conservatism and stop the out of control spending and taxation by the Democrats that are driving the American economy into bankruptcy.
In addition to increased taxes and spending, Obama and the Democrats also voted themselves another big pay raise. Government pay comes from taxes collected. With the job losses that are coming there will be fewer people providing revenue for the government to live. This has not curtailed Obama’s extravagant vacation spending. Economists estimate that new taxes on the upper income earners plus ObamaCare taxes will cost up to two million jobs and medical benefits for tens of millions.
Additionally, with sequestration cuts postponed for two months to coincide with the Debt Ceiling battle, people can expect that the president will hold the military "hostage" to raising the Debt Ceiling for his out of control spending just as he claimed Republicans held middle class tax rates "hostage" against raising taxes on the rich.
