Last week, President Obama made the claim that he has done as much, if not more than any other president in history. He uttered those words at a Democratic fundraiser in Beverly Hills.
CNS reported that Obama said: "Over the last five years, thanks to the leadership of Nancy (Pelosi) and Harry (Reid) and legislators who are here, we have accomplished as much, if not more, than any time in our history."
Obama also bragged about his foreign policy achievements. He said there was a "lot of bluster" concerning Iran when he took office--"but what was needed was a plan."
He claims that under his guidance, tough sanctions have been imposed upon Iran. According to Obama, it was because of his policy toward them that they finally capitulated and came to the table to negotiate their nuclear program.
Obama's plan has Israel contemplating a strike against Iran without U.S. approval. Obama's new agreement with Iran has driven Israel to pair with the Gulf States led by Saudi Arabia in dealing with Iran's nukes, according to Townhall.com.
Obama went on boasting about his list of so-called accomplishments. These include but are not limited to:
- Saving the American economy from a Great Depression.
- Revitalizing the auto industry.
- Doubling our exports.
- Drastically reducing our dependence on foreign oil.
- Doubling fuel efficiency standards and production of clean energy.
- Reducing the pace of our carbon emissions.
- Ending the war in Iraq and about to end the war in Afghanistan.
- Re-centering our fight against terrorism in a way that respects our values and our ideals.
- Expanding access to college for children all across this country.
- Ending DADT and making sure we're vindicating the notion that everybody should have a fair shot regardless of their sexual orientation, as well as their race and their gender.
- Pushing for equal pay for women.
- Reinstituting research for stem cells.
The lies that the Obama administration have told are many. Obviously for this reason we don't have the time to cover them all in this one article. So we are going to deal with Mr. Obama saving our country from another "Great Depression." The Blaze reported earlier this year that VP Biden said:
"The president and I have moved the country from the worst recession since the Great Depression to 38 months of private-sector growth."
Forbes reported that the recovery after the last recession was, "The Worst Economic Recovery Since The Great Depression."
Forbes said in their article the following: "Unemployment actually rose after June, 2009, and did not fall back down below that level until 18 months later in December, 2010. Instead of a recovery, America has suffered the longest period of unemployment near 9% or above since the Great Depression, under President Obama’s public policy malpractice."
The Weekly Standard called the claims of Obama saving us from a "Great Depression" is an empty boast. The Obama administration cited the stimulus package, enacted in Feb. 2009, to back up his claim. However, upon further inspection this proof vanishes.
According to The Weekly Standard, "the stimulus wasn’t responsible even for halting the recession, much less keeping America out of a depression. The recession officially ended in June 2009—at a time when only a fraction of the $831 billion in stimulus funds had been spent."
"If we had been on the brink of a great depression in 2009, the stimulus package wouldn't have been big enough to prevent it." This was according to Ed Lazear, who headed up George Bush's council of -economic advisers. He says the GDP "shrank 12 percent during the 2007-2009 recession."
Lazear says: “The largest estimates of the effect of the Obama stimulus is about 3.5 percent. The Great Depression was a 40 percent ‘recession. The math disproves the Obama claim."
In all actuality, the deficit has significantly increased during the Obama administration. The Washington Times reported: "When Mr. Obama became president in January 2009, the total federal debt stood at $10.6 trillion." In Oct. the national debt stood at $16.7 trillion. This is an increase of 57 percent since Obama took office.
Natural News reported that, "Obama's claim that he and his administration have "reined in spending" is as comical as it is farcical." The numbers from The White House's own budget shows that over the next decade our country will add $5.271 trillion to our already ballooned $17 trillion debt.

Some Americans are so convinced that Mr. Obama has saved us; they laud him with the title of savior and messiah. They believe it so much they are now teaching our children of his "saving" qualities through the Common Core agenda.
The fact is that many Americans are now waking up as this CNN/ORC poll shows, Obama is dishonest and ineffective as a president. He has perhaps damaged our nation to the point that it's beyond being fixed. His claim that he's "accomplished as much if not more than any president in history" could be construed as egotistical at best.
This article only dealt with one of his claims, that he saved us from another "Great Depression." This has been debunked by the math, the numbers don't lie in showing us the real truth behind VP Biden's claim he and Obama saved us.
All of Mr. Obama's claims appear to be filled with empty promises and lies. He boasts of greatness when 47 million are dependent on food stamps for their next meal. If he truly saved us then why aren't more Americans finding jobs and earning a living to provide for their families?
Mr. Obama and this corrupt administration would do well to remember the apostle Paul's warning to us in Romans 12:3. It says, "For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith."
