As Democrats continue relentlessly crippling economic growth with crushing, non-stop Obamacare regulations, lawless environmental insanity, job-killing Minimum Wage hikes (backed by the biggest corporations to kill off all small business competition), and the highest corporate tax rate in the developed world, the same president who grovels to our enemies, blames America for everything, betrays our allies at every turn, and lets our veterans die on government waiting lists now accuses companies of being "unpatriotic" if they dare to find a way to survive the endless left-wing attacks on their prosperity.
While simultaneously (hilariously) bragging about our "recovery" from the devastating liberal policy disaster that destroyed the economy in 2008, Democrats told CNBC's Steve Liesman Thursday about "economic patriotism," and how companies should be grateful for rampant nanny state interference and jaw-droppingly extreme double-taxation. They are apparently offended at how many businesses are fleeing the country to salvage what's left of their companies now that the left has had its way. How dare they fight back when the most fanatically hostile anti-business party in history begins openly shredding the Constitution to rape, pillage, and plunder their operations into oblivion?
Businesses are moving overseas to avoid being driven into the ground and bankrupted by a vindictive socialist tyrant obsessed with class warfare and redistribution of wealth. Or in the case of amnesty champion Bill Gates, simply laying off thousands of American workers to replace them with cheap, foreign indentured servants. The left does everything in its power to make it unaffordable to do business here (excessive taxation, over-regulation, labor unions, frivolous lawsuits, etc.), and then demonizes any business that dares to come out alive on the other end while blaming everything on "not enough government."
"Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it." --Ronald Reagan
Incidentally, Investor's Business Daily sets the record straight on this "recovery" we keep hearing so much about:
The 4% drop in real median household income under Obama is hardly the only gauge pointing in the wrong direction five years after Obama's 'recovery' officially started.
Real median weekly earnings are down 3% since June 2009. More than 11 million workers quit looking for jobs, and 11 million went on food stamps. Nearly 3 million fell into poverty from 2009 to 2012. Gas prices are up 40% since the recovery began. Electricity prices in many areas are sky-high. Does Obama really think these people are better off than they were in June 2009?
How about future retirees? Social Security is expected to go bust in 2030, seven years sooner than when Obama took office.
And who feels 'significantly better off' knowing the per capita national debt is 40% higher than it was five years ago and headed still higher with Obama policies in place?
In fact, when you strip away all the blatantly convoluted calculations, dishonest gimmicks, and doctored math, the only areas of the economy that aren't crawling along at a snail's pace and/or worse off than they were before Democrats took office are the ones that have nothing to do with them, as with the stunning 35% increase in oil and gas production on private and state lands that has taken place, despite the EPA's best efforts...while production on federal lands (those directly controlled by Democrats) has been aggressively and deliberately curbed.
The bottom line: Liberal policies revolve around manufacturing crises for government to rush in and "rescue" us from. The left stands for nothing but Democrat power, and cannot allow self-reliant individuals, the Middle Class, or an independent free market to get in the way of their control-freak agenda, so we will continue to be illegally bankrupted, impoverished, and enslaved as those inventing all these emergencies continue launching hysterical witch hunts against capitalism, until the moment they are removed from office.
