What happened to lower the intensity of the love affair American's had with their first black president will be discussed elsewhere ad nauseam but one picture speaks louder than words. As Obama left the White House with Sgt. Cowley and Prof. Gates, he arrogantly strode in front of them while the much- maligned cop helped the older man, who was using a cane, maneuver the steps.

The facade that is Barack Obama is slowly slipping away and what is emerging is a man so in love with himself that he cannot relate to the poll numbers that have dropped to below 50% as Americans are coming to realize that the "emperor", who has surrounded himself with "Czars" like himself, is someone other than the persona that was so craftily displayed to them in 2007 and 2008.
How this will play out for the Republicans is yet to be seen. At this point, in August 2009, they are leading in two governorship races--Virginia and New Jersey--and are expected to capture several others in 2010.
It could be that some Democrats in the Senate are in jeopardy. So far, there are three of them who are in shaky positions:
- Christopher J. Dodd of Connecticut
- Barbara Boxer of California
- Alan Specter of Pennsylvania
So far, the lowest rating Obama has had came last week when in the Rasmussen poll, only 28% of probable voters strongly approved of him while 40% strongly disapproved. Along with that there is a growing disapproval of Congress, especially that of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi who is down as low as 24% in some polls. Whether Obama will bring down Democrats as his poll numbers shrink depends on many factors including the economy, unemployment, the size of the deficit. and if ObamaCare is forced through dispite the unfavorable reaction of voters.
From the turnouts at Town Hall meetings held the first week in August, Americans are now very involved and making their discontent heard to the Democrats. They are finding that the rancor of voters has turned against them and ObamaCare. If this continues in 2010, it could change the scene in Washington back into a two-party government.

As bad as obama is, most of the republicans are only the lesser of two evils i.e. McAmnesty. We need some strong independent conservative candidates and not just more of the same ole same ole.
I think this article reflects more on the author than the President. What proof, aside from declining poll numbers, do you have for arrogance?
Really? Who told you that you could write? Poll numbers indicate that you have no ability and shouldn't continue. And as indicated by the picture provided with the article it appears the author has chosen "Joker" comestic styling.
Oh yeah Bob that reminds me of those stories of people putting up Joker-Obamao posters in LA and ATL so far. I'll contact Robin & Bat-Girl to see if there is any further word on the story.
Third party, I'm with you. The R's might not be as bad, and there's a lot in their platform to like, but platforms are just window-dressing if you don't have candidates who have the principles of the platform in their heart. I belong to the Constitution Party (CP). We have clay feet too, but we also have a unique commitment to live as under the authority of the Constitution and the system of natural law it embodies. The two entrenched parties are merging under a different banner, the law of political pragmatism, which is no law at all, really. Down that road lies nothing good. To avoid it, I think we need to start over, get back to where we once belonged, get back to the mindset of the founders. Give me liberty, or else ...
Anyone who didn't see this coming just wasn't looking. Why the color of a person's skin would instantly win himself the presidency is beyond me. All the radical, socialist and arrogance indicators were right there on the table in front of everyone's face. Oh just overlook that he and his family chose to go to an anti-American racist church for 20 years, just over look his close relationship with crooks and other radicals, one who burned flags as a hobby and blew up police stations. Just overlook his wifes speech where she told you that Obama would never let your lives be the same again. While I realize there are still people who have a slobbering love affair (a woman at is acceptance speech who was jumping up and down crying, "He's goona buy me a new house and send my boy to college" comes to mind) but the rest of us who really looked at Obama feared the worst and we're not dissapointed. He is the worst. Granted he has chrisma, nice smile.
*lut martha, what have I told you about your bias opinons. you just cant stop, can you, everyday same ole *hit. I wonder if you hate Hitler and Bin Laden the way you hate Obama. the republicans-conservatives have had their time to run this country into the ground the past 8 years, now we have a Democrat and it has'nt even been 8 months before *ssholes like you start calling him a failure. I mean, you *astards put up with it for 8 years with a republican, now all of a sudden after 6 months of a Democratic president you're calling for his head. you're a *amn BUFFOON who should not have this job. go join Rush Radio or Fox news where you can spew your hate and get away it.
Loser "goose" is back. Can't he be reported for his harrassing and vulgar comments?
what is seen in a white man as confidence is seen in a black man as arrogance. so sad that some would rather still see a black man bowing and scraping as if on a plantation other than realizing the potention we all have. as a black and confident professional, i too have been called arrogant by people like yourself. Our apologies for not acknowledging you antiquated fear.
I'm hispanic and that picture speaks volumes of how ARROGANT Obama really is...
We make far too much of the photo since we weren't there. I am certainly no fan, but it's not the photo that speaks of arrogance, tcaly. It's the assumption that he knows what's best for all of us, despite the poll numbers in his face.
When we fix our poor education system, then we can blame others for not having the wealth to afford healthcare. Arrogance is when our government thinks by empowering wealthy companies (bailouts) that they will do what is best for the lowly masses. I see Obama's financial plan as nothing more than the return of 'reaganomics' with a millenium twist. The last time we (lowly masses) waited on wealthy companies and banks to save us all, they invested in technology that replaced human labor; and we wonder why our economy is in dire straights. We (Americans) idealize and covet wealth. Ironically, the majority with a republican political ideal, conveting wealth, also sit Sunday after Sunday in church proclaiming to be God's people while mentally committing at least 2 of the 7 'deadly sins.'
If there is a cheaper way of providing universal healthcare for all, then I'm sure the Obama administration would be eager to listen. If not, then be the Christians u republican conservatives PRETEND 2 b
You LIBTARDS/PROGROSSOIDS are the reason our education system is like it is, go figure.
I sincerely hope Goose is not speaking for liberals and Democrats everywhere. My Grandfather once told me that those who must resort to vulgarities are simply displaying their vast ignorance, and inability to communicate in a civil manner. But then I digress...
