You have never heard of Obaby? Well today is the perfect day to learn something new. Obaby is a photo app and it is ideal for capturing all of the important moments of your pregnancy and the first few years of your baby’s life! For new parents this is the best things since sliced butter to have on your person at all times because you just never know when your baby will strike the most adorable and meaningful pose!

Besides being handy for everyday use and capturing those moments that are timeless in history, Obaby is also perfect for this time of year. New parents and seasoned parent alike are able to create custom holiday gifts for their entire families with this great app. Here is how:

Obaby is an iOS app for telling your beautiful baby stories with handcrafted artwork on photos. One of the first text-over-photo apps designed specifically for parents, Obaby includes an extensive range of milestones, classic baby sayings, and special moments from pregnancy and adoption, all the way up to age two. It's also easy to use: Simply pick a photo (could be a pregnancy or baby photo); add artwork (there are hundreds of illustrations available!); then save, share and you’re done.

Obaby was released in the app store on December 5th, just in time for the 2013 holiday season. This app was created by the makers of Over. Creator, Aaron Marshall, in conjunction with Jeff Jackson and Robert Sagers developed Obaby so that parents could tell their beautiful baby stories by utilizing handcrafted artwork on their photos.

Obaby was designed for new parents, parents-to-be, and anyone else passionate about babies to enjoy, cherish, and celebrate little lives. The artwork, exclusive to Obaby, includes an extensive range of milestones, classic baby sayings, and special moments from pregnancy and adoption, all the way up to age two. The illustrations, the product of four well-known, big hearted artists, express a multitude of special baby moments.

“Babies are so unique, and there are so many sweet moments, it was a real challenge to make something that could express those eventful early years,” said Aaron Marshall, co-creator and designer of Obaby (as well as the father of two young boys). “We decided the best solution was to create a vast amount of original, timeless artwork for parents to put on photos of their babies.”

“Knowing that each illustration will be used to celebrate babies all over the planet made the work feel super meaningful and special,” noted Megan Gilger, who, along with Kyle Steed, Kelsey Cronkhite, and Karli Ingersoll, designed the app’s 650+ pieces of custom-made artwork.

Among the hundreds of pieces of artwork in Obaby are illustrated phrases such as: “Baby Bump,” “Boy or Girl?”, “We’re Adopting!”, “Baby Shower,” “We Felt the Baby Kick,” “Any Day Now!”, “Welcome Little One!”, “Bath Time,” “Teething,” “First Steps,” “Besties!”, “Playing Dress Up,” “Tantrum Time,” “Our Adventurer,” and hundreds more.

You will be able to crop your photos into several different sizes, select from lots of carefully chosen colors, make the artwork bigger or smaller, and move and tilt artwork around on their photos to ensure that the placement is just right. Finished photos may optionally be shared directly to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, text message, and more.
