The Oakland Running Festival, scheduled for Sunday, March 24, 2013, will have a full marathon (26.2 miles), half marathon, 4-person team run, 5 K, and kid's run. The various events begin a different times and take varied routes. To see a map of the events' routes, click here.
Online registration for all events continues only until March 14. Click here to go to the registration page. After that, you must go to the Health & Fitness Expo at the Oakland Marriott City Center Hotel on Saturday, March 23, to register in person. There are no guarantees that you will get a spot and there is an extra $20 fee for registering late.
All runners will get a 100% polyester tee, a loaf of Dave's Killer Bread, and a packet of coupons and other goodies. Every member of the three winning relay teams as well as the male and female winner of the marathon will give away round-trip airfare to Hawaii from Hawaiian Airlines.

Sponsors Corrigan Sports Enterprises, Inc. (CSE) has announced that GEICO Insurance will once again provide the “Keep Pace With the Gecko” program for the 2013 Oakland Running Festival (March 24). A GEICO Pacer is responsible for leading a group of runners to a specific time goal for the entire marathon or 10-mile distance. Race participants can sign-up for free at the respective Health and Fitness Expo to receive a required pace bracelet.
