The Oakland Raiders feel they are a better team this year than they were last year. Last year, their record was 4-12, and it could very much end up the same this year.
There are three games left for the Raiders and need only one win to end up with a better record than last year. So far, the Raiders are 4-9, with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Denver Broncos playing in Oakland and a visit to San Diego to face the Chargers remaining.
All three games are tough for the Raiders since the Chiefs and Broncos are among the top two in the AFC, and the Chargers fighting to get the last wild card spot.
If the Oakland Raiders end up with the same record this year, the players feel that the team has improved. Many will agree that the Raiders, at least, had a fight in every loss this season. Well, maybe not against the Eagles!
Anyway, the Raiders are not outmatched like they were last year. Many units have gotten better, and the squad looks like it is in tact better than it was last year. The quarterback problem still remains though, but it looks like it can be fixed!
After 11 years of having losing records and not making the playoffs, the Oakland Raiders always have to look at the bright side. This time around, the bright side is that the team is actually better than last year even if the season ends with the same record.
Stay positive Raiders, maybe the Broncos, Chiefs, or the Chargers might get hit with that attitude in one of the last three games of the 2013 NFL season.
