For the first time, the Oakland Athletics will be holding their annual FanFest in both the O.co Coliseum and Oracle Arena. In past years the event took place within the walls of the Oracle Arena, which made for tough maneuvering through crowds in some of the more populated areas. With both venues being used for the event, Jim Leahey, A's Vice President of Sales and Marketing, states that the organization aims "to take advantage of the strengths of each, and enable us to provide a great experience for more fans."

Among the activities to participate in, fans in attendance will have to opportunity to meet and take pictures with players, get autographs, attend question and answer sessions, tour the clubhouse and press box, and take photos with the team's World Series trophies.

Players scheduled to appear include Yoenis Céspedes, Jesse Chavez, Ryan Cook. Coco Crisp, Josh Donaldson, Sean Doolittle, Chris Gimenez, Craig Gentry, Sonny Gray, John Jaso, Jim Johnson, Tommy Milone, Derek Norris, Eric O'Flaherty, Dan Otero, Jarrod Parker, Drew Pomeranz, Nick Punto, Eric Sogard, Dan Straily, and Stephen Vogt. Former players include Vida Blue (1974), Ray Fosse (1974), Gene Tenace (1974), Dave Henderson (1989), and Tony Phillips (1989).

Manager and coaches scheduled to appear are Bob Melvin, Curt Young, Mike Gallego, Chip Hale, Darren Bush, Tye Waller, and Ariel Prieto.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at www.oaklandathletics.com/fanfest, where more information about the event is also available.
