Short game tips are up next in the Seminar Series at the Ottawa Athletic Club’s Winter Golf School.

A member of the school’s PGA of Canada instruction team will lead chipping and putting seminars on Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. and again on Jan. 23 at 11 a.m.

The basics of proper eye and body positioning during the putting stroke will be covered extensively and attendees will be informed about the importance of striking down on the ball while chipping in order to pinch the ball since pinching creates more spin.

The OAC’s Winter Golf School Seminar Series is scheduled to have several more gatherings throughout the offseason that will cover all aspects of the game.

School members and non-members interested in discovering what is being offered at the full-service facility, can contact Colin Orr, director of the school, by calling 613.523.4024 ext. 256 or by sending an e-mail to
