Two quick stories for you today.
Last week I wrote about a controversy that is beginning to swirl around the State Center project. I believe this issue could play a role in a very tight race for governor of Maryland. I believe the Governor knows this and has taken a few precautions to distance himself from any State Center complications that could cost him votes. I notice that he sends out Lt. Governor Anthony Brown to handle the State Center issue. Take a look at this Fox 45 video to see Brown hype up the project. This move not only distances the Governor from potential election year controversy, but if State Center ends up being mildly successful then the lieutenant governor will portray it as a major accomplishment of his in future campaign materials and speeches (you better believe he will run for another office one day).
Kevin Parson unsuccessfully ran for a 45th District seat in the Maryland House of Delegates. It turns out that Mr. Parson is a principal at a troubled school in Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that he commutes two hours to his $145,500 a year job and is often late or missing. Read the entire story here.

Oh come on Adam, stop hyping your stories. You think this non-story could "play a role" in the Governor's race? The election is a month away, and virtually no one will have heard of it when they go into the voting booth.
