The O.J. Simpson party has the public talking, and even though the ex-football player may not be able to enjoy football on the field any longer while in jail, that's not going to stop him from watching the Super Bowl game on TV with friends. UPI News reported this Wednesday, Feb. 13, that O.J. Simpson enjoyed the Super Bowl after buying a TV for his prison cell in Nevada, even inviting some jail mates to his "private Superbowl party."
O.J. Simpson is currently serving a 33-year prison sentence after being charged with robbery and kidnapping, but still managed to enjoy the big game a while back.
The O.J. Simpson party was not a thing to miss for the jail mates, as the party reportedly made the arrested football player’s popularity in prison soar to even higher heights.
“If you have the money, you can buy a TV at the inmate store and put it in your jail cell,” said Simpson’s friend to the Post, Pardo. “[O.J.’s] like the Godfather of this prison now.”
Though it’s unsure whether Simpson rooted for the 49ers or the Ravens in the Super Bowl, he did end his past NFL career on two full seasons with the 49ers, and will be eligible for parole this 2017.
