O.C. High School CIF-SS Soccer Championship Final Recap

Prep soccer may not get the same attention (or funds) as conventional football – but for fans, parents and coaches, when the kids walk on the pitch, it's magic.

Regardless of victory or loss, every team that played in the 2013 CIF-SS Championship Finals gave the best of themselves and earned respect and gratitude for all who love the beautiful game.

Here's how the Orange County teams finished their championship season…

GIRLS SOCCER

Division 1
Chaminade 3, Aliso Niguel 1
Chaminade (20-3-5) knocked out the defending champion Wolverines (13-4-6) to earn their first CIF-SS Division 1 title.

Long Beach Wilson 1, Sunny Hills 0
The Lancers (24-2-5) had an incredible season recording 21 shutouts and 29 consecutive matches without a loss.

BOYS SOCCER

Division 1
San Clemente 1, Servite 0
Goalie Dylan DiGiacomo helped the Tritons record their 20th shutout of the season.

Warren 3, Loara 1 (double OT)
Anyone have Loara (15-5-4) on their radar? And even though they came up a bit short in the CIF Division 2 finals, they quieted a lot of doubters.

Division 5
Saddleback 4, San Jacinto 1
The Roadrunners (14-5-2) took their game to another level against an excellent San Jacinto Tigers (23-2-2) in the CIF-SS Division 5 Finals. This is their first CIF-SS Division title since 2005 when they won both the Division 3 and national championships.
