The 2013 Fine Artistry of Cosmetic Elites Awards (FACE) hosted by NYX Cosmetics, announced today, Aug. 27, the winner of the Second Annual FACE Awards. The FACE Awards recognizes the artistry and hard work of beauty vloggers across the Internet.
This year’s FACE Awards winner is Missy Lynn. Missy is the face and voice of the YouTube channel Start2FinishMUA and an active duty member of the US Air Force. Missy began her YouTube channel in 2010 as an outlet for her inner beautynista. With the encouragement of fellow vlogger and 2012 FACE Awards winner Charis Lincoln (CharismaStar), Missy joined the 2013 NYX Cosmetics FACE Awards competition
In April, nearly 1,000 online beautynistas entered the FACE Awards. After a series of video challenges, the YouTube public narrowed it down to six top finalists, who took to the FACE Awards stage to perform their final challenge. Judges for the 2013 Face awards were NYX Cosmetics Creator and Chairwoman Toni K., Ulta’s Director of Trend Develop Molly Sloat, NewBeauty Magazine Video and Interactive Director Susan Yara, Racked Los Angels Editor Natalie Alcala, and TME favorite celebrity makeup artist Billy B.
The award ceremony took place on Aug. 24 at Siren Studios in Hollywood, California. At the live makeup challenge event, Missy’s talent in makeup artistry earned her the title of Beauty Vlogger of The Year, as well as the prize of $25,000, consultations with professional makeup artists and a year's supply of NYX Cosmetics. Congratulations to Missy Lynn!
