The New York Society of Security Analysts'(NYSSA) Alternative Investments Committee presents
3rd Annual Alternative Analysts’ Forecast: Chasing Opportunities with Limited Capital—What are the compelling strategies in 2010?
Capital, from a reduced pool, is beginning to flow back into alternative investments as markets stabilize after the crisis. Some investors still fear the potential for further economic shocks while others don’t want to miss out on a rebound. Given the level of uncertainty, what strategies provide the best opportunity for investors in 2010?
The panel of specialists and practitioners from various disciplines of alternative investments will exchange ideas and opinions on asset allocation, sector/strategy trends, risk and return expectations.
The panel will address the following questions:
* Which hedge fund strategies will prosper in 2010? Which are destined to fail?
* Will cash move from the sidelines into alternatives? Will it impact the markets?
* As commercial loans need to be rolled, will lenders be willing or able to provide credit?
* Will financing return to private equity?
* What’s the general market outlook for equities, commodities, fixed income, and credit?
