For those of you in the New York State Capital Region who have found yourself without any plans for tomorrow, how about heading to the New York State Museum for an event called "New York's Great Places and Spaces"?
This is an annual event which focuses on New York State's historical societies, historic sites, and cultural institutions which has a central theme. This year's theme is based on the temporary Civil War exhibit and is titled "March Your Way Around the State". Museum goers get to walk around the museum halls and see the impact that New York State had on the Civil War, which is greater than one would think since there were no battles during this war which took place in New York.
The event is this Saturday (tomorrow) from noon to 4pm at the New York State Museum. There will be hands-on activities as well as various displays. For more information, visit the following link: http://www.nysm.nysed.gov/programs/images/GreatPlaces-2013.pdf
