Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx is one of the newest "Theros" spoilers revealed today Aug. 31, 2013 during PAX Prime, from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming expert "Magic: The Gathering" expansion set "Theros." This rare legendary land helps boost the mana production of devoted mono-colored decks.

Legendary Land (Rare)
Tap: Add 1 to your mana pool
2, Tap: Choose a color. Add to your mana pool an amount of mana of that color equal to your devotion to that color. (Your devotion to a color is the number of mana symbols of that color in the mana costs of permanents you control.)
Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx can help devotion based decks generate a whopping amount of mana. Let's take green for example. While trying to abuse devotion cards like Reverent Hunter it won't be too far fetched for you to generate ten plus mana on turn six, making it a great backup plan to casting huge threats like Worldspine Wurm if you don't draw Garruk, Caller of Beasts.
Of course, there's other ways of abusing Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx. Casting large X spells may be one of the biggest uses for it. White and blue have access to Sphinx's Revelation, and red and black players can abuse Rakdos's Return.
One place Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx will shine is in Commander, where there are a plethora of large spells to cast.
How will you use Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx?
