The colorful collection of elegant fashions by Victor De Souza were showcased at The Strand Hotel. I had the honor to go backstage to report on the hair/makeup/nail trends.
HAIR
Lead Artist: Marco Maranghello for John Barrett Salon
Inspiration: 1960’s Style meets Geisha.
Thick, clean, blunt, high ponytails.

Extension ponytails available for purchase in salon store in 25 customized shades and two sizes.

Sections of hair were wrapped and pinned to secure.
Small sticks were used when needed, to help ensure ponytails would stand tall.
Ponytails were then cut to blunt shape.
MAKEUP
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics

Dewey, iridescent skin and rich, dark lips gave a fresh, sophisticated appearance.
Black Dahlia Lip Tar Lips: Press and blot, Press and blot.
Wet Twirl (peach/pink shimmer) and apply to eyelid.
Highlight face and eyes with Oberon (pink opal shimmer) .
Final lip gloss of clear LipTarte in Ripe Fruit.
No mascara was used for innocent eyes.
