The highly anticipated debut collection from En Noir presented at the Park Avenue Armory. The luxury street-wear line showcased their Fall/Winter 2014 Collection titled “Tunnel Vision” to a celebrity filled audience. Super star athletics Amar’e Stoudemire, JR Smith and Victor Cruz sat front row, patiently waiting for the show to begin.
The entrance to the show was draped in a cavern of black fabric, molded into sharp wrinkles so it looked like the interior of a rocky tunnel. The elaborate stage design was the collaborative effort of En Noir's creative director Jason Wolter and the artist duo Snarkitecture made up of Daniel Arsham and Alex Mustonen.
The giant black tunnel beaming with light was the perfect backdrop for En Noir’s dark shearling coats, distressed sequin pants, fur-embellished overcoats and snakeskin track pants. The all black, rocker chic collection had fur touches on varsity jackets and coats, sleek hooded parkas and quilted details in sweatshirts and pants. The brand infused wearable fashion with a sports-inspired edge. The use of layering and different textures added depth to the monochromatic collection.
Paneled bomber jackets, asymmetric reptile leather jackets, hooded zipped jackets refocused with halved sleeves were all highlight items from the collection. En Noir reinterpreted the modern silhouettes presenting a lux on-trend urban-inspired collection.
