Inspired by great American contemporary artists, Dennis Basso created a luxurious collection of clothes and furs for the celebratory woman. Full of fur, sequins and hand-painted gowns, the collection was what we’ve come to expect from Dennis Basso: lux!
The rich palate was packed with hues of deep purple, sapphire, emerald and amethyst creating a regal collection. Basso paired fitted beaded bodices with long, flowing and straight skirts and matched a fuchsia and deep red embroidered lace gown with a fuchsia chinchilla jacket.
Basso treated his collection like a canvas, hand-painting grand black-and-metallic brushstrokes on a strapless ball gown in royal blue to a pair of narrow burgundy pants. He featured slim-legged trousers, straight skirts and voluminous ball gowns paired with bodices. We absolutely loved the long-hooded vest in lynx and the timeless floor-length tulip dress covered in black bugle beads and white pearls.
Elucidated in his show notes, Dennis Basso stated “the artists that inspired this collection…gave me the creative vision and motivation to create designs as individual pieces of art."
“I know that women wearing a piece of this collection will bring out her inner artistic self.”
