The clothing was pure 90's, not a great sign. The decade was known for grunge, a bad 70's revival, and the early stages of hip-hop. Farai's collection brought back memories of TLC videos, but without the humour. While the designer attempted to bring luxury, it felt more like a shopping trip to Rainbow.
Monday February 14th brought a return to the tents for Carlos Miele's show. The message was disco, underscored by the disco soundtrack. Jumpsuits are going to be a staple for this year, as well as loose, hostess pajama type pants, and long slinky bias-cut dresses for evening. Fur was a strong presence in the collection.

No- I meant Farai Simoyi. I only attended that designers presentaion since I was working on a story about a model that walked for him. But thanks for the comment! He's lucky to have a supporter like you!
Well, everyone is allowed their apoinion. I gave Binetti a great review...funny how people only focus on the negative! Lol...but it won't change my mind. Thank you both for your comments!
Also- I definitely have the right designer. My friend was in that show and I left right afterward. there is a photo accompanying the article from this show. So yes- once again, i meant Farai Simoyi.
So- to be fair to everyone, I just rechecked the model's text about what show she was in: Farai at 11.30 (but they moved it up to 11am). Then I checked the line notes and checked that against the photos I took. It was definitely Farai Simoyi that I saw.
I know it can be hard when someone criticises something you like ( I happen to love metal from the 80's. Not everyone likes the Motley Crue like me.) but it happens sometimes. It wouldn't hurt to take that constructively. Hopefully we're all on the same page in that we know that tomorrow is another day and next season is a new beginning.
