Bright and early fashionistas got a rare treat on Saturday morning in the tents. Designer Betsey Johnson was giving interviews with any and everyone that pushed their way up front at the Diet Pepsi kiosk. The twirling, stripe-clad designer was a bundle of energy and wit. She seems to have fully recovered from the Steve Madden situation last year.
Maybelline lovers received free eyeshadow palettes, lipgloss, and powder at their location near the windows. Friendly service was key, as the counter was steadily mobbed.
Binetti showed an amazing collection in the Box that hearkened back to the days of the idle rich.
Vivienne Tam showed to a tremendous crowd in The Theater. her collection was inspired by Chinese Opera.
Jewelry designers Cat Greenleaf (LUSTBKLYN) and Carlos Sobral were on display at the tents. Sobral's colorful resin bracelets are perfect for breezy caftan style dresses. Punkier types will fall for the metal cuff with LUST spelled out in crystals.
Other designers showing on the 12th were Jill Stuart, Prabal Gurung, and Charlotte Ronson. Showing on Sunday the 13th were Derek Lam, Timo Weiland, and 90's veteran Zang Toi at 9pm.
