What does NYC Restaurant Week and “Cheese” have in common?
Food and Photos.
It’s a Brilliant combination.
The culinary artist within can now be unleashed for a chance to win some cash.
Just in time to chase away those end-of-winter-blues: today kicks off NYC Restaurant “Week.”
In fact, the annual food and drink celebration runs for three weeks, through March 7th.
There are a lot of restaurant dining adventures to celebrate in NYC so a week just doesn’t do it for the city that never sleeps…
Most every New York foodie can fess up to having such a connection to their food and drink that they find it irresistible not to share the beauty and culinary expertise of their plated and bar presentations.
Now, for the first time, food enthusiasts can be rewarded for their gourmand passions in an official, social media way.
Here’s how it works: Use the #NYCRestaurantWeek hashtag to tag food & dining photos posted to Instagram social media. Dining culinary camera artists will be prompted to submit a contest entry form to win $500 or more in gift cards to select, participating New York City restaurants.
It’s that simple.
Plus there are weekly chances to win.
Three judges: Geoffrey Zakarian, Tasting Table editorial staff and NYC & Co photographer Daniel Krieger will choose one winning picture per week for the duration of the NYC Restaurant Week celebration.
In a news release, Tracy Nieporent, chairman of NYC & Company’s Restaurant Committee said, “NYC Restaurant Week Winter 2014 is an opportunity for our guests to celebrate dining at almost 300 of our city’s best restaurants. We hope they’ll share their experiences as our restaurant community demonstrates the quality, variety and hospitality that makes New York City the restaurant capital of the world.”
Foodies and photos go together like peanut butter and jelly or pastrami on rye or bacon and well – everything!
And now, food and #Selfies.
So make those photos count and be sure to hashtag those glorious food photos with #NYCRestaurantWeek shared on social media.
Bon Appetit and don’t forget to say, “Cheese.”
No purchase is necessary to enter and win. Please visit nycgo.com/restaurantweek to view the official rules.
