NYC triple homicide suspect Miguel Mejia-Ramos has been arrested in Texas, according to Jan. 22 ABC News report. The 28-year-old New York father is suspected of slaying his wife and two daughters, and has been the subject of a massive manhunt, culminating in his arrest in Schulenberg, Texas.

According to the Christian Science Monitor, authorities used Mejia-Ramos’ cellphone to track his movement after finding his wife, 21-year-old Deisy Garcia, and two young daughters, 1-year-old Yaslin Mejia and 2-year-old Daniela Mejia stabbed to death in their Queens apartment on Sunday evening.

Mejia-Ramos is being held at the Fayette County Sheriff's Office in Texas, and there is no word on whether or not he has an attorney. “We're awaiting word from authorities in New York; from our understanding, they're on their way here to the sheriff's office in Lagrange,” Lt. David Beyer said. “And I'm sure they're going to interview the suspect and put all the pieces of their puzzle back together. The big thing is extradition to New York,” he added.

The victims, who had been stabbed multiple times in their chests, were found by other household members.
