New York Fashion Week kicks off with high heels, happy hipsters and a city of dedicated rock stars in their own right who are blister free and ready to rock on the runway, catwalk or sidewalk to be seen or make a scene. So what did NY February fashion week day 1 have in store for us? Lots and more...G-man Victor Cruz cut the ribbon to kick off NY fashion week in honor of their huge win for New Yorkers and navy blue lovers everywhere.
Fancy footwork can now be translated from the field to the fashion strut. No excuses boys, fashion and football are now lusty lovers.Monika Chiang Kicked off the presentations with a leathery look into our Fall future for 2012. Leather, suede and furrrrrrrr fed fashion lovers with sleek lines, curvaceous silhouettes an sexy leather body suits. PETA I hope you've burrowed yourselves this fall fashion week because you're still NOT invited to the party. And we're being FURrocious about that.
Following suite was Richard Chai's LOVE collections for men and women. Filling both our future wardrobes and those of our men's with oversized stripes, boxy frocks and suits in heathers and neutrals for all to adorn. Match or mix pieces in this collection and you'll never exhaust your fashion forward-ness. And pockets galore! Purses, are out; pockets oh so IN! And fashionista's thank you for that!
True to his nature BCBG Max Azria loves his color blocks, neutrals and sleek silhouettes. But for Fall 2012 he packs a wicked punch with an abundance of colored fur accessories, more fur, color block trenches with leather pockets (did I mention pockets?) and illusion accents.
So far MB Fashion week has on lookers wide eyed, well dressed and eager for more, more and even more fabulous fur, leather and pockets.
But before we consume more, let's remember what we've learned today: faux fur is faux and real, well is really stunning and will set you up for Fall. Leather stays true and holds its value through to a sleek and slender Fall 2012 look. While football and fashion are no longer a fantasy, but a match made in NYC. Eventually New England will get wind of these trends for Fall 2012, but as we all know-they're not on the ball in fashion or football.
