Starting today and throughout this month and next, we will be exploring “the Inquiring Minds” segment of my posts. With New York fashion week on the horizon, I thought that it might be interesting to focus on a new wave of designers who cater to the client who demands “handmade” rather than machine produced. Think haute couture but not only when it refers to women’s apparel…. Maybe think bespoke!
Today is all about a gentleman who has perfected the art and the craft of custom made and handmade men’s shoes. The shoes are extraordinary and the genius and the talents behind the product are equally impressive. Keep in mind, we had a bit but not much of a language barrier, but I could not resist printing his unedited responses.
His shoes “are his canvas.”

*-Who or what is your inspiration/style icon?
for me,many can be a style icon, there's' someone in particular many are unique in their own way, take Armani, YSL Tom Ford each with its own character, what am I am inspired, to be honest I do not know in such ideas come to me when I shower, where I find my moment to relax, with the pink background or Ploidy David Bowie Stevie Wonder, or who are with me
*-Who is your favorite designer?
Myfavorite designer, good question! I can say Tom Ford, Philippe Stark as others I do not appreciate or just a designer but I admire them all, those who were able to leave earlier, some later in their signature fashion as in everyday life, are all to be taken into account for fashion and 'over, some still manage to rework their style and not to create new ones. create things that can not be worn so much that is ugly or ridiculous or without an answer

*-What’s your take on magazines, books versus the internet?
I believe that magazines are the basic pillars of communication. and 'a beautiful thing to do especially the collection of fashion magazines, I think that the magazines will never die, I prefer, but the Internet is a great means of communication to speed up the contents of which are between the words written in the papers, say that newspapers are a bit all over the base
*-Do you have a dream collaborator?
My ideal partner should be excited about what 'that's full of ideas and inspiration and he likes to do things the manual is how to make a shoe made entirely by hand to combine both thought and art with this object, in short, that has that irrepressible desire to say something to the world and those who buy and watch my shoe as I do
*-If you could pick anyone as your customer, who would you select and why?
Ideally my client ANDY WARHOL because 'he created a style of expression would be able to see what I do with the shoes, which for me are the canvas where I express myself, and for me the legendary painter Caravaggio, who, in my opinion, painted so AMAZING, could appreciate the finishing of my shoes and shades of colors that mix.
and finally my client for excellence and 'Salvador Dali, well,! would be the best you could ask a genie that mixed ability 'pictorial imagination, skill' of expression, and then he was always out of fashion
