What great timing the NYC Craft Beer Autumn Festival has this year as it's festival will be held on Halloween weekend October 31-November 1, 2014. While much of the early bird tickets have sold out for October 31 sessions, there are still some left over for November 1.
The event will be easily accessible by N, R, F, and M trains as well as the PATH trains from New Jersey. It will be held on 68 Lexington Avenue between 25th and 26th streets right in Manhattan. Forget driving. Parking is insane in Manhattan, and it's New York anyways! The more one sits in traffic, the less beer he drinks at the festival, right?
There will be almost one hundred fifty beers to taste with some new and old seasonal favorites from seventy five breweries. Although the list of beer vendors has not been announced at the time of this writing, some food vendors have been named. There will be beer sausage from Rosamunde Sausage Grill, ice cream cocktails from Tipsy Scoops, and food prepared by critically acclaimed chef, Seth Levine. There will also be seminars led by Ben Keene, who is the author of "The Great Northeast Brewery Tour".
Each attendee will be given a 2 oz. glass, and they will be able to walk around sampling all the beers they want. For the first hour, VIPs will have the place to themselves before the major crowd hits. This will be a special time as the first night, Friday, will be Halloween. Feel free to dress up in your best costume! Hopefully there will be pumpkin beers there as well to comemorate this day!
The festival has an ongoing partnership with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, which contributes to blood cancer research and helping to increase expectancies and survival rates for many patients while assisting their families. So be sure that as every ticket is purchased, some will go to a good cause!
