Pictures at an exhibition - a la Mussorgsky! As a saying goes, picture is worth a thousand words. Attached slide show depicts the latest car models displayed at New York International Auto Show 2014 [1]. The Show is a spectacular annual event filled with the spirit of innovation and elegance demonstrated by major car manufactures. The history of the New York International Auto Show can be traced back to the year 1900. Since 1987 it has been held annually at Javits Convention Center [2] starting on or just before the Easter Holidays weekend, lasting for 10 days. This year New York International Auto Show opened on April 18 and scheduled to last till April 27, 2014.

Luxury and concept cars

The luxury and high-end sport cars have been constantly in the focus of public attention, generating lot of excitement. Beyond price tags, the cars in this section represent the synergetic product of engineering genius and aesthetic sophistication resulted from utmost-professional efforts of many generations. The convergence of art and technology materialized into those little “miracles-on-the wheels” decorating exhibition halls of prestigious car shows and, with equal relevancy, art museums as well (e.g. the car collection at New York Museum of Modern Art, which once featured a magnificent Jaguar E-Type Roadster 1963).
