NY mother killed in Turkey had sex with man she met online before disappearing

The wife and mother from New York, who was killed in Turkey had sex with a man she met online the day before she went missing, according to new reports. Sarai Sierra, who was married with children at the time she went to Turkey on a solo vacation, was killed by a fatal blow to the head, reports the Daily Mail on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013.

According to witnesses who saw Sarai in Turkey, she was hanging out with some “sketchy characters” before she went missing. Last week she was reported missing and found dead a few days later. Authorities investigating her death are looking into the possibility that she was involved in drug trafficking. The authorities are investigating the drug trafficking possibility after she also made trips to Holland and Germany besides Turkey.

The authorities have talked with the man she met online and he claims the two had consensual sex. They investigated the man, known only to the media as Taylan K, after police discovered his online communications with this mother from New York.

According to the Daily Mail, the FBI was also investigating the 33-year-old Sarai for involvement in drug trafficking during her visit to Turkey. Taylan met Sierra online several months ago after commenting on a photo she’d posted on Instagram. He denies anything to do with her disappearance and murder. The investigation is on-going today.
