There's 2013 NFL live stream and televised football coming up on Sunday Night, as two of the NFC's fiercest rivals will face off on the gridiron. The New York Giants will visit the Dallas Cowboys, as these two division foes attempt to get off to a successful start to the 2013-14 season. Last year saw neither team make the playoffs, so they'll be looking for a better campaign this time around. Tonight's Sunday Night Football game will be the NFL live stream online and televised matchup presented by NBC.
A Sept. 7 report from NY Daily News indicates that tonight's game will feature a key matchup between Giants WR Victor Cruz and Cowboys CB Orlando Scandrick. They note that Eli Manning has always had a way of "exposing the Cowboys' secondary," so it's expected that Cruz might be able to go off. Scandrick is considered above average in terms of his coverage abilities, but his tackling abilities leave something to be desired for the Cowboys on pass defense.
Cruz finished his 2012 season with 1,092 total yards receiving on 86 receptions, averaging 12.7 yards a play. He also recorded 10 touchdowns over the course of the season. His 2011 stats were about the same, although he had 1,536 yards on 82 catches, and one less touchdown. Could he have another big season in store, now that he's officially signed with Jay-Z's sports group? That may not be as big a factor, as how well Eli Manning plays over the course of the year.
The telling stat that is in NY's favor tonight is of course their unblemished 4-0 record at the new Cowboys Stadium, named AT&T Stadium. However, both quarterback Tony Romo and wide receiver Dez Bryant have predicted big things for the coming season, including the Giants' win streak to stop tonight at their stadium. Last year's season opener saw the Cowboys take down the Giants at MetLife Stadium, so will New York have payback in mind?
Injuries could play a major factor in the outcome of tonight's game, as the Giants will be without offensive tackle Davis Diehl and center David Baas. Also, Andre Brown is currently on the IR, requiring RB David Wilson to take on the majority of the rushing plays tonight. For the Cowboys, defensive Anthony Spencer is not expected to play after his recent knee injury, with George Selvie taking over for him. Ben Bass was recently played on Dallas' season-ending injury list after suffering a dislocated shoulder.
Current weather reports indicate a high temperature of 90 degrees in Dallas for tonight's matchup. Temperatures are expected to dip down to the low 70's later tonight. Current odds favor the Cowboys to take this game by 3 points, while the over/under is currently set at about 49-50 combined points for the game.
