NWA World Women's Title match headlines big event in Cypress this Saturday

This Saturday night, NWA Houston returns to the Cypress VFW for a huge night of action. Three championship matches are set, including a defense of the NWA World Women's Championship.

After defeating Kacee Carlisle for the gold recently, new NWA World Women's Champion Barbi Hayden has a big task ahead of her on Saturday against Kat Green. The challenger has had a couple of matches recently against Hayden, but has come up short in those attempts to end Hayden's reign early. She's ready for the match, but Barbi is champion for a reason, and will do whatever she deems necessary to hold onto the gold.

The NWA Lone Star Heavyweight Championship is also up for grabs, as Byron Wilcott squares off against Scot Summers. Wilcott has been dominant in his run as champion, but Summers is more than determined to regain a title he once held.

As far as I'm concerned, Big Daddy Dum Dum is walking around with a title that belongs to me. I appreciate him keeping that belt warm, but he needs to know I will be taking the NWA Lone Star Heavyweight title home with me, and there's nothing he can do about it.

Wilcott laughed at what Summers had to say, and guaranteed to do what he's done since July and and send Summers home without the gold. These two know each other very well, and you can expect this could be one of the wildest championship matches that Cypress has seen in a long time.

The NWA Lone Star Tag Team Titles will be defended on Saturday, as The Sons of Texas (Alex Reigns and James Claxton) will put the titles up against "One Man" Mike Dell and Carson. Reigns and Claxton have proven to be one of the toughest tag teams in recent memory, but very few teams have been as fluid as Dell and Carson. This should be a very interesting tag match, as both teams can adapt to basically any style, so fans should be in for an entertaining match.

Also appearing on Saturday will be NWA Lone Star Junior Heavyweight Champion Rudy Russo, El Coyote, Jodan, and "Notorious" Shane Taylor. And making his NWA Houston debut will be Matt Riviera!

All of this goes down this Saturday, March 29, at the Cypress VFW located at 21902 Northwest Freeway (Highway 290). Doors open at 7:00 P.M. with belltime set for 7:30 P.M. Advance tickets are available by clicking HERE or you can get them at the door for the following prices:

  • $15 for Front Row (also includes special meet and greet before the event (from 6:30-7:00 P.M.)
  • $10 for Adults
  • $5 for children 12 and under

The Front Row tickets are $15 for both adults and children. There are only 50 of these tickets available for each event, so priority is a must when getting your tickets. Purchasing your tickets in advance gives you a better chance of getthing those tickets, as they may not be available at the door on the day of the show.

NWA Houston also invites their fans to join them for the official after party at Diablo Loco Willowbrook (7925 FM 1960 West, in Houston). Diable Loco Willowbrook is located in the Willowbrook Mall parking lot, just across from Whiskey River.
