This Saturday night in San Antonio, NWA Branded Outlaw Wrestling will celebrate a one-year anniversary at Woodlawn Gym. And to help celebrate the festivities, an ECW original will be on hand.
That ECW orginal will be none other than the "Extreme Icon" Tommy Dreamer. The former ECW World Champion will be on hand and will get a shot at the BOW Heavyweight Championship, currently held by "The Vanilla Godzilla" Jax Dane. It has been announced that the championship match will be an Extreme Rules Match. This would normally fit right down Dreamer's alley, but Dane can get just as vicious if he gets his hands on a chair or any other object. It won't be pretty, but has the makings of being a historic encounter in San Antonio.
Speaking of world champions, the NWA World Tag Team Champions will be in the house. Scot Summers and Ryan Genesis, collectively known as the Kingz Of The Underground, are scheduled to defend their gold against San Antonio favorite Chris Marval and Ring of Honor star Charlie Haas. The champions also have a title defense the night before in Cypress at NWA Houston, so the challengers will be fresh and ready to pull off the upset. But don't expect Summers and Genesis to just lay down, as they'll be ready to go and are fully confident they'll walk in and out with the titles.
Also, two of the top ladies in Texas continue their rivalry as Barbi Hayden steps into the ring with Rachel Summerlyn. These two are no stranger to each other whatsoever, and the fans in San Antonio will surely be in for a treat as these two battle for female supremacy.
All of your favorite NWA Branded Outlaw Wrestling stars will be there, including "Killer" McKenzie, former NWA North American Champion Carson, Barbi Hayden, Rudy Russo, Ray Rowe, and appearances by former WWE stars Funaki and "Iron Man" Rob Conway.
