A nun on “The Voice” in Italy stunned not only the judges and the audience but also her fellow nun sisters who can be seen in the video clapping and dancing as 25-year-old Sister Cristina from Sicily performs Alicia Key’s “No One.” During her performance on “The Voice,” the nun shared her talent with judges J-Ax, Noemi, Piero Pelù, and Raffaella Carrà, while her fellow nuns excitedly supported her backstage, reported the Daily News on March 20, 2014.
Within only a few seconds, Sister Cristina did not only have the judges in amazement but also the audience who gave her a standing ovation.
Wednesday night’s YouTube video of the nun performing on “The Voice” has already received more than 10 million views and while it is memorable to see the judges go from relaxed and doubtful to being stunned, watching the 25-year-old's colleagues from the convent excitedly support her from backstage is priceless.
"If I had found you at Mass I would always be in church," joked one of the panel, an Italian rapper known as J-Ax, who then added: "You and me are like the devil and holy water."
After the nun performed on “The Voice,” she is joining J-Ax’s team since he turned his chair first, and of course she will proceed to the battle rounds. When asked what the Vatican might think of her performance, 25-year-old sister Cristina replied, “I hope that Pope Francis will call me now."
