At the Phoenix Public Library, Nuestros Reconquistos President Pablo Cruz made a shocking announcement this morning. “I am a homosexual,” said Cruz with tears running down his face. “As your leader in the Latino civil rights movement, I feel I am being dishonest with people in not telling them that I am discriminated against not only because of my race, but because of my sexual preference as well.
For the most part, Cruz received a round of loud applause. “We are very proud—as well as shocked—about Pablo Cruz’s announcement. We hope he fights for gay rights just as much as he has been fighting for the rights of Latinos.”
Pablo Cruz has been one of the most outspoken and controversial leaders of the Latino movement. Some of his extreme views include Latinos waging a war to take back parts of America that originally belong to Mexico. However, he has also been outspoken—and helpful—in the areas of public education and law enforcement.
