TLC just announced a new TV reality show titled "Buying Naked". The show centers on an intrepid real estate agent whose special clientele want to live in nudist communities. Nothing new there, so what could be the hook to make this into a TV series? The customers shop in the nude for their homes.
Your guide through the process is Jackie Youngblood, whose Pasco County, Florida territory is home to the largest concentration of nudist communities in the country. In "Buying Naked", old pro Jackie is bringing along new agents in the art of selling real estate to people who are devotees of the clothing-optional lifestyle. Link to video preview posted below.
In the press release announcing the show, TLC noted that Youngblood's skill includes being mindful of the pitfalls that could befall a newbie in the business. When determining the appropriateness of a particular property to show to a customer, there is more to consider than price, location and how many bedrooms or bathrooms are in a particular home.
"Jackie and her team must also bear in mind the hazards that are lurking --- everything from countertop height to sharp corners and flooring (rug burn hurts!). Routine tasks such as cooking, cleaning and even just walking can present safety risks for the unclothed occupants of the home."
As you can see, this can be tricky and in the premiere episode of "Buying Naked", viewers can expect to be introduced to Alex, a new agent who Jackie throws into the fire after some specific rules.
Rule #1: always keep your gaze at eye level. Rule #2: don't laugh. Rule #3: be prepared to be hugged and touched because these folks like to get up close and personal, if you know what I mean. In an amazing video preview of the premiere episode, Jackie and Alex meet to calm her nerves a bit and then greet a couple who are naked as jaybirds and plenty proud of it.
TLC will premiere "Buying Naked" on Saturday night June 28 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT Image: TLC, used with permission.
