Let's be honest. There are probably many of you out there who watched the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday, Aug. 25, just for the NSYNC reunion. But did it live up to expectations?
Those who tuned in for the VMAs had to wait until 10 p.m. for Jimmy Fallon to take the stage to introduce Justin Timberlake, who was awarded the Vanguard Award, and it began with a montage of his hit solo songs. Timberlake's actual performance was hands down the first entertaining performance of the entire night, featuring a number of his hit songs, including "Sexyback," "Cry Me a River," and "Suit & Tie." Timberlake showed that there's really no slowing him down, and after the first hour of the show, it was a pleasure to see him take the stage. In fact, he may have saved the night.
As for the highly anticipated NSYNC reunion, his former band mates joined him on stage for a very short time for a couple of quick clips of "Girlfriend" and "Bye, Bye, Bye." After all the hype, it was hard not to want more from it, but considering how long it's been since we've seen them together, we'll take what we can get. Still, we wish it would've been longer.
Check out the slideshow to see photos from Justin Timberlake's solo performance, as well as from the too-short NSYNC reunion and of the five backstage, and the video to rewatch all of it (or to watch it for the first time if you didn't watch).
