NSYNC “# byebyebye” that’s what fans are using as a hash tag to boycott the grown up boy band after the members from NSYNC posted a tweet promoting Obamacare. The tweet inflamed NSYNC’s fans and a twitter frenzy followed with folks calling for “UNFOLLOW” and the boycott of their music, according to NBC News on Oct. 1.
President Obama met with young celebrities over the summer asking for their help with promoting Obamacare, reports "Fox and Friends" live on Wednesday morning. The band members from NSYNC were on that list. Just the one tweet from NSYNC that was posted on Monday opened the flood gate for their very disappointed fans to have their say. The NSYNC tweet said:
“Love, hate, or just confused by it -learn all you can about the Affordable Care Act which starts enrolling tomorrow! http://www.healthcare.gov.”
Folks took to Twitter promoting boycotting their music and suggesting fans "unfollow" the group online. The boys from NSYNC were called everything from "Liberal" to a "propaganda” spreading group.
The hash tag “#byebyebye” is a bit ironic, as the words to one of their big hits have now come back to haunt them. Fans think they should just stick to music and let the politicians push their own healthcare. There has been no word as of yet from NSYNC after the uproar online started.
