The National Security Agency (NSA) will build a secret electronic data center in Utah.
Glenn Gaffney, from the Office of National Intelligence for Collection, said the data center will be dedicated to protecting the nation from cyber-attacks, the Associated Press reported yesterday.
The center has been described by local media “as a collection point for surveillance of domestic and international telecommunications,” the Associated Press reported. No information has been given on what will occur at the data center. The project will cost $1.6 billion.
