The National Rifle Association (NRA) hit a new low yesterday by releasing a new ad that mentions President Obama’s children. The release of the ad yesterday was a preemptive attack on the Presidents kids and yours.
The same ad that targets Obama’s children, also targets your children. They don’t care about your children, they only care about money. The NRA makes money not only for membership into their lobby organization, but they also make money every time a box of bullets is sold.
In the 30 second ad, a narrator asks if Obama’s “kids are more important than yours”, when in fact the new gun control measures that Obama will be rolling out today are all about protecting your children as well as the Presidents.
"Are the president's kids more important than yours? Then why is he skeptical about putting armed security in our schools, when his kids are protected by armed guards at their school."
The NRA is a sick organization along with the gun industry itself as they play on your fears in order to boost gun and ammo sales. Guns, ammo, large capacity clips and other military style assault weapons are flying off the shelves at gun stores. The NRA and the manufacturers could not be happier.
One of the measures that Obama will roll out today will include a call for funding of police officers for those States that want to have armed guards in their schools. And the NRA knows this even though they released an ad calling Obama a “hypocrite” for allowing his kids to be protected but not yours.
"Mr. Obama demands the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes," the narrator says. "But he is just another elitist hypocrite when it comes to a fair share of security. Protection for their kids and gun-free zones for ours."
The NRA made money when 20 kids and 6 teachers were killed last month in Newtown CT. And the NRA is making millions on the fear that they gin up in the wakes of every mass shooting and every time there is any talk for any gun control measures.
