On Wednesday, the Nozomi Entertainment branch of Right Stuf, Inc. confirmed two titles for release in May of 2013, “The Rose of Versailles” and “Sound of the Sky”.
“The Rose of Versailles” part one will be the first of two limited edition DVD sets and will include the first 20 episodes with Japanese audio and English subtitles, housed in a collectable, chipboard art box. The first part of the series will be available on DVD ($49.99) beginning on May 7, 2013 and this is the first time that the anime will be available to English-speaking audiences in North America. “Sound of the Sky” saw a release previously in a limited edition DVD set; the upcoming version is a litebox-style, value priced DVD set. The litebox version contains all twelve episodes of the anime plus two special episodes in Japanese with English subtitles and will be available on DVD ($39.99) on May 7, 2013.
