Not everyone can have the experience of a private lesson with Hall of Fame golfer Annika Sorenstam at her ANNIKA Academy at Reunion Resort in Orlando.
But now anyone can take receiving tips from Sorenstam any time of day or night, thanks to the ANNIKA Academy mobile app. The newly launched mobile app serves up 59 instructional and fitness videos that allow players of all skill levels to get proven golf tips and drills from Sorenstam and the ANNIKA Academy team.
Currently available for iPhone and iPad for $4.99, the app instruction covers full swing, chipping, putting and fairway tips.
Golfers can get a brief preview of the app with a free version that includes five of the 59 videos and several photo galleries. The free and paid versions will be available at the Android Market later this month.
The videos are led by Sorenstam herself and include sessions with her personal swing coach Henri Reis, sister and former LPGA golfer Charlotta Sorenstam, Academy Instructor Mark Bereza and her personal fitness coach Kai Fusser. She also offers mental game tips and strategy secrets through hidden videos.
“I often get asked for tips and thought this was the best way to share the lessons from my personal team,” said Sorenstam. “Golfers can take these tips with them to the driving range, the golf course or anywhere they use their mobile devices.”
The app also includes photos and information about Sorenstam’s childhood and career, a virtual tour of the ANNIKA Academy and a 10-minute highlight reel.
