Earth, Wind & Fire with a TWIST. Reflections of the Past and brilliant sounds of Today!
The City of Atlanta was Dancing October 2nd at the Fox Theater with the sound and ELEMENTS OF EARTH WIND and FIRE burning up the stage with oldies and the new. The stage was lit up with non stop electricity, talent and vocals that are UNPARALLELED .
Philip Bailey took the range of vocals to a height that some have only dreamed of treading. Verdine White is the MASTERFUL Bass player that youngsters of today should thrive to perform. Ralph Johnson and the others took up the entire stage and framed in the performance like a perfect musical portrait. BRAVO to the team who pulled this performance together to SHOCK and AWE the city of Atlanta.
This new album is called Now, Then and Forever. Verdine White says, "What I love about it is it gave us a chance to tie things together musically, culturally and it sounds JUST LIKE US." Ralph Johnson says, "... it reflects where we are today in terms of how we think about our music and how we want to present it.." Philip Bailey, "It's really about the Legacy of Earth, Wind & Fire." Please take a moment to watch this legacy click that is attached.
The new song, "My Promise", is truly an authentic great organic song that reflects the old and new sounds of Earth, Wind & Fire. "The music dictates and lead you where it wants you to go". Philip Bailey It is like A CANVASS and you are the painter of where these songs will take you when you hear this music.
The message of each song (old and new) are truly uplifting the conscious of humanity and takes you to a place that is beyond yourself and takes you back in time to memories that remain with us for a life time while CREATING NEW MEMORIES.
The Legacy continues!

During the 1970s, a new brand of pop music was born - one that was steeped in African and African-American styles - particularly jazz and R&B but appealed to a broader cross-section of the listening public. As founder and leader of the band Earth, Wind & Fire, Maurice White not only embraced but also helped bring about this evolution of pop, which bridged the gap that has often separated the musical tastes of black and white America.
