According to a Feb. 25 report in “App App News”, you can now make “Paper Critters” with an app for iPad that was just released to the App Store. It's amazing! Earlier we told you about the app “Paper Desk” and we mentioned that with it you can do anything that you would normally do on paper “except make paper airplanes”.
Well now, with this new fun and crafts app “Paper Critters” you can make all kinds of cool paper toys (mostly paper creatures, not airplanes). Check the slide show!
The paper cut-out shaped toy first appears on a grid on the screen. You can choose any one of a number of stencils for giving it a unique personality and you can even choose the body color, line weight, line color and more. You'll get a real-time 3D preview of your creation, which you and print or email to share with your friends. There is an interactive gallery and lots of examples of paper toys you can make.
This is an easy and fun way for anyone of any age to make fun 3D origami art pieces without having to figure out any dimensions. Right now this app is for the iPad only. Price: $1.99.
