Now illegal aliens who file civil rights suits are also safe from deportation

Last week, the Obama administration issued the infamous memo announcing several classifications of illegal aliens who will no longer be deported, among them are illegal aliens who have pending civil rights lawsuits.

The memo states: “To avoid deterring individuals from reporting crimes and from pursuing actions to protect their civil rights, ICE officers, special agents and attorneys are reminded to exercise all appropriate discretion on a case-by-case basis when making detention and enforcement decisions in the cases of victims of crimes, witnesses to crime and individuals pursuing legitimate civil rights complaints.”

Of course, the new policy opens the door to quite literally millions of civil rights suits in order to avoid deportation. This move also has the potential to cost taxpayers untold sums in court costs as well as clogging the federal court system for years.
