Novelist George Pelecanos is March's guest programmer on TCM

Crime novelist George Pelecanos is TCM's March guest programmer. The author who worked on such shows as "The Wire," and the "Pacific," also wrote such books as "The Cut," is going to be sharing some of his favorite films.

This is going to be airing on St. Patrick's Day (March 17) starting at 7 p.m. central. His four picks are "The Outfit" "The Seven-Ups," "Monte Walsh," and "Ride The High Country."

His picks range from 70s crime films to 60s and early 70s westerns. "The Seven-Ups," is making its TCM premiere, a film that starred Roy Scheider. The film was directed by, Philip D'Antoni, and was about New York cops, who rage a war against hoodlums after one of their own gets killed. That film will be airing at 9 p.m.

So if you're fan of George Pelecanos and of the schedule check it out on March 17, starting at 7 p.m. central. The first film that will be airing is the Robert Duvall crime film, "The Outfit," and the last one is the western, "Ride The High Country."
